Daily exercise is important for everyone. If you are unable to exercise every day, a good workout every other day can be just as beneficial in maintaining a healthy body and weight.

Exercise doesn't have to be hard work. Look into a fun exercise video that you can work out with, or get an exercise bike. A good aerobic workout doesn't have to be very involved or difficult. Aerobic exercise benefits you by increasing your heart rate and maintaining that heart rate for at least 20 minutes. This can be accomplished by doing something as simple as swinging your arms back and forth in your chair. As you get stronger and feel up to it, use some light hand weights while swinging your arms. This will add resistance and give you a better workout.

Be sure to consult your doctor before beginning any kind of fitness routine and be careful not to overdo it.

Along with your fitness routine, be sure to watch your diet. Eat healthy and eat the right foods to help maintain a healthy and manageable weight. Be careful not to go overboard with this, either, and get all the vitaminsand nutrients your body needs.

Once you've talked to your doctor and planned a proper diet and exercise routine, you're ready to get started on your path to a healthy and happy new you.
