» karin78 - perthes in adults/seniors

My father had perthes as a child. He got treated I believe around the age of 7 for about 2 years.
Now he is in his early 50's and is having tremendous pain in his hip. He still works but only 2-3 times a week because the pain is so strong. He has shooting pains from his hip all the way down his leg. I cannot imagine the pain but he is not a man that complains and when he does it must be really bad. He went to his regualar physician about 2 years ago, they did some xrays but said they couldn't find anything wrong with him. Does anyone know if there is any treatment for adults/seniors. When I look it up there is only info on children and nothing for adults. If anyone can direct me to some info I would really apreciate it.
Thanks in Advance,
Karin
